About event
Mystical post black folk metal psychedelic from the frozen north!
Unlimited Sonic Use presents:
Hexvessel - Svart Records | UK/FIN
https://www.hexvessel.com/
Genre: Occult Psychedelic Folk Doom Metal
FFO: Wardruna, Heilung, Sabbath Assembly
Hexvessel is based in Tampere, Finland. The band was founded by English singer/songwriter Mat McNerney when he moved to Finland in 2009. Their music has been said to transport “Black Metal’s hostile chill and the slick, effortless cool of Post-Punk into Hexvessel’s world of magic, nature, and timeless storytelling.”
Mat “Kvohst” McNerney summons the nocturnal ghosts of his past, churned in the cauldron of Black Metal, Ritual Folk Psychedelia and Doom Rock with Gothic undertones. From their inception in 2009, primal forest spirits Hexvessel have captivated audiences and listeners with their evolution. Hexvessel resonates with solitary reflection and themes of personal spiritual transcendence, continuing to reinvent and explore nature mysticism through music.
Sum of R - Consouling Sound | CH/FIN
https://www.sumofrofficial.com/
Genre: Crushing Drone Doom Mantra
FFO: Dark Buddha Rising, SUN(O))), GNOD
The result of these three wandering spirits being let loose in a converted barn in the Finnish countryside near Jyväskylä is ‘Lahbryce’, the new and surprising Sum Of R album, the most disconcerting and colossal work the band has ever committed to tape by far. Mixed by Victor Bullok, aka V. Santura (Triptykon, Dark Fortress), it will be released this late fall on the Belgium record label Consouling Sounds and it will turn the underground upside down.
