About event
Two -hour free dance jam with a short introductory and final sharing circle. Previous experience with contact improvisation is not needed.
We dance in the music hall at the elementary school Kotlářská 4. Entrance from Kounicova Street at the corner with Boiler. We will meet in the opening circle. We end around 21:15. When there are less than 10 dancers, the contribution increases to make a rent of CZK 500. The organizing organizer does not apply. It is a form of modern dance based on spontaneous movement interaction based in 1972. The intention of contact improvisation is to be in contact with your own body, floor, walls, space and usually with other dancers. Contact improvisation is not a classic pair of dance and does not teach the steps that the dancers follow, but are freely inspired by basic recommended techniques such as carrying weight, work with borders, coming and leaving contact, stretching, pushing, leading, following or scrolling. Dancers work with pressure, center, weight, dynamics, levels, whether together, in pairs, triplets, larger groups or separately. Within contact improvisation, you have the opportunity to explore movement in your body at different levels - from cells, bones, muscles, tendons, fascia to the skin. However, romantic or sexual intentions are not tolerated in contact improvisation.
