The intention of contact improvisation is to be in contact with your own body, floor, walls, space and usually other dancers. Contact improvisation is not a classic paired dance and does not teach the steps that dancers follow, but are freely inspired by basic recommended techniques such as weight transfer, work with borders, coming and leaving contact, stretching, pushing, guidance, following or scrolling. Dancers work with pressure, center, weight, dynamics, levels, whether together, in pairs, triplets, larger groups or separately. Within contact improvisation, you have the opportunity to explore movement in your body at different levels - from cells, bones, muscles, tendons, fascia to the skin. However, romantic or sexual intentions are not tolerated in contact improvisation. It is really just a dance.
👉 All incoming, especially those who go to jam for the first time, please read this text: https://drive.google.com/File/d/1rsgvm1gqqqqqqtjictvxxecc8o_1oqnb/View?usp=drive_Link
