Many countries do not perceive Western anti -Russian attitudes after the invasion of Ukraine: only a minority of countries has actually accepted and adheres to sanctions or reduces diplomatic relations. This "rest of the world" (consisting mostly populations, including more than billions of countries like China and India) usually follow its own interests, or directly support the Russian narrative - to the colonial and post -colonial (or cold) experience or just an anti -West sentiment. Or is it a purely pragmatic approach based on economic ties? Does local political culture, character or personalism of local elites play a role? How does ideology correspond to practical foreign policy steps and where to look for the reasons for possible discrepancies between the two levels?
