About event
☘️ 2. Concert of the summer part of the chamber music festival in the house and garden of the Albrecht House Domus & Hortus Artis 2025
🎵 Alfred Desenclos began to deal with music relatively late. During his adolescence he had to work to feed his family, but at the age of twenty he studied piano at the Roubaix conservatory and won the Roman Award (Prix de Rome) in 1942. He composed a number of works that, as mostly melodic, harmonious and tonal anchored, were often overlooked in a more experimental post -war period. Its final quartet of the concert confirms the sovereign orientation in the specific idioms of the saxophone media, the sense of gradation and sensitive handling with the motifs oscillating on the border of the jazz and classic stylish plane. SopranaSaxophone,
Silvia Macejová Altsaxophone,
Ján Gašpárek Tenorsaxophone,
Ladislav Fančovič Baritónsaxophone
- 2007): Suite Pro Chty Saxofony*
Eugène Bozza (1905 - 1991): Nuages*
Florent Schmitt (1870 - 1958): Quatuor Pour Saxophones, op. 102*
Gabriel Pierné (1863 - 1937): Introduction et Variations Sur Une Ronde Populaire
