About event

🟢 I will meet the transregional art history
🟢 Twards Transregional Art Histories

The symposium accompanied by the Haptic Ozven exhibition. Nature, body, politics in the art of the former Yugoslavia and Czechoslovakia in the Bratislava City Gallery. It follows the exhibition of the Haptic Ozvena, which emphasizes environmental motives in the art of 60 to 90s and confronts parallel, although often mutually entangled stories of art from two modern European federations - Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia. The symposium will address the issue of mutual contacts and friendly exchanges that led to the aesthetics of defiance and the emergence of collective platforms. The ambition of the symposium is to discuss the link of radical artistic practices, to point out the little known context of policies of multinational cultural spaces and to bring the phenomenon of minority cultures closer. The symposium is accessible to student as well as to the public and the conference language will be English. /HU, Jana Pičaříková & Ondřej Chrobák /CZ, Luka Savić /SI
