About event
How were 165 letters created in prison, from which a successful theater production and now also a radio play are based?
The directing duo SKUTR, consisting of Martin Kukučka and Lukáš Trpišovský – the artistic directors of the Drama of the National Theatre, will explain how the letters Václav Havel was created by the theater production Dopisy Olze, which was presented by Divadlo v Dlouhá for five years. They transformed this successful performance about strength and weakness, about doubt and hope and, above all, about the path to inner freedom into their first radio play, which is premiered by Český rozhlas Vltava.
Anna Freimanová from the Václav Havel Library will talk about how Václav Havel wrote these letters to his wife Olga, and also about what we do not read in the book editions, and how Olga Havelová reacted to them.
Hana Slívová moderates.
