Václav Orcígr | Hegemonní město

Hegemonic city: Discursive approach to ideology and dominance in the development and planning of post-socialist Prague metropolis. The development of the city in the context of privatization is massively decided by private investors, often also through a less noticeable practice that arises in action coalitions with public administration actors. A discursive analysis of the field of spatial development in Prague shows that existing inequalities and the dominant ideology that continues to support the status quo are reproduced in the public debate.
