VAGOVIČ & VAŠEČKA: ÚPLNE INAK O SLOVENSKU A SLOVÁKOCH

They are not only united by the same initials, but also by a similar view of the world, curiosity or sense of humor. That's why they joined forces and came up with a podcast that they will record every month in front of a live audience!

The award-winning journalist Marek Vagovič will discuss Slovakia and Slovaks in a completely different way than you have been used to with the renowned sociologist – and walking encyclopedia Michal Vašečka. it is related to our history. Whether we just follow and adapt to them, or we have more to offer.

They will also ask why we are more of a rural than an urban country. And why have we been voting the same way for 100 years, although several generations have changed in the meantime - and several regimes have succeeded.

Vagovič and Vašečka will, of course, also analyze current domestic and foreign politics. The shift of Slovakia to the east, the mafiaization of the state, the causes of increasing frustration, or the expansionism of the great powers.

But in a wider context, so that you also learn something new. In short, conduct a full-fledged dialogue, not gloss over everyday events. With subtle irony and sarcasm, which Michal is famous for.

📍 Come on April 1, 2026 at 18:00 to the next live recording of the Vagovič & Vašečka podcast at Bratislava's Bukowski bar 2.0 and learn more. We look forward to seeing you!
