We cordially invite you to a constitutional seminar entitled "Challenges and Opportunities in Validating Automated Stance Detection: The Coverage of Migration in Slovak Media (2003-2024), presented by Associate Professon Bratislava. Doc. Findor will focus on methodological challenges and opportunities in the use of machine learning methods and validation of professional annotations on the analysis of media discourse on migration. The seminar will explore as various conceptualizations of attitudes and sentiment, the diversity of evaluation goals, the selection of analytical units, and the bias of the annotators affect automatic detection of attitudes to migration in the Slovak media. The seminar will be in English.
