About event
We set off for our tenth Sahara trip.
We are dripping into an incredible fairy -tale world, most likely you can have one of the defining experiences of your life!
Marrakesh alleyways, pulsation, scents and brilliant juices immediately set off to the desert to make us about eight hours. Of course, before sleeping, the traveling wanderers are welcomed with a delicious Moroccan dinner and tea. And the miracles only start after that.
Who has a lot of trouble pressing their shoulders, this few days of desert walking can be a redeeming ... There are no roads here, we are waiting for the biggest sash in our Earth. (Of course, we know that Antarctic is bigger, but that is different)
in the footsteps of nomads in the largest desert on Earth. It would be a barren business about the million -star nights in the middle of nowhere. Adventure!
Tajine, Berber pizza, couscous, date, salads and tea in all quantities. Taste the magic of the legendary desert caravans.
Program:
1. Day afternoon we arrive in Marrakech with our plane from Vienna/Budapest. We occupy our accommodation and then dive into the city's bustle. We walk on the thousand-color Jemaa El-Fnaa Square with an indescribable atmosphere, get to know each other, taste local interesting things, relax ... We pick up the Berber-Arab feeling.
2. Day morning we set off for the desert, we will have our accommodation in the palmland of a dusty border town. Our all-day journey will be interesting with interesting attractions like Argan Oil Tasting (driving between the snow-capped peaks of the Atlas Mountains), Ait Ben Haddou (medieval, fabulous Kasbah city, where a lot of Hollywood super-productions were shot), Zagora… then we pick it back. On the day we set off for our four -day traveling trip to Sahara. Our camels are the equipment and tents we need for a few days, where we spend the nights, prepare our food on site in an authentic nomadic way, giving a glimpse into the life of the desert caravan.
4-5. On the day, we migrate in the desert (on foot, we also camel once). We cross the dried lakes, the sand dunes, the stone deserts (where we can collect fossils with the imprints of missing ages), the oases and wells, while we reach our goal, the monumental (300m high) sand dunes. We will have the opportunity to admire sunsets, sunrise clinging to the infinite sand dunes. At night we could delight in the curve of the falling stars.
Which made me a very important point for me in my life, that night sky! Wonderful sight.
This day with a few desert migrations is likely to become a decisive experience of our lives. Lack of harassment of the signal strength and virtual world is likely to help some things, to restore the order of importance in our lives.
We will not walk too much, but the stories of continuous location, the terrain, and our leaders will give an irresistible charm to this nomadic. We will also learn about the life of the nomads and the why of their attachment to the desert. As the water, we are more aware of the inexplicable value of drinking water, and maybe the path to satisfaction or happiness "grows under our feet."
6. On the day, we return to our dear Palmet with off -road vehicles. We walk in the area, bathe in a typical countryside Arabic bath, then farewell dinner.
7. day travel back to Marrakesh. During our journey we touch the city of Quarzazate, crossing the Tichka Hague (2260m), we can admire the high atlas snow -covered peaks. Evening amazement on the miracles of medina, shopping, possibly an authentic dinner for the last time on Djemaa El-Fna, Marrakech's famous, fantastic field.
8. By day afternoon we have time to walk in Marrakech, shop for what you need.
During the whole trip we consume local, typical food. The unforgettable Berber pizza of the must-have couscous, Tagine or Ishmael (pie with onions, vegetables, camel emails, etc.), Berber omelette, salads, soups, breads eg. Baked in the desert, in the sand - will certainly be a great experience for you.
