Advent and Christmas were an important period of silence for our ancestors, but also of exuberant celebrations. In them, Christian teachings and traditions were mixed with much older customs and created a unique form of this dark period of the year. This also inevitably included typical dishes, sometimes understood as sacred. Through this intangible cultural heritage, we are still connected to those who lived and celebrated here centuries before us.
