The solo exhibition Vasila Artamon in Clauda presents a series of the last paintings, which he takes for his symbolism of everyday life. The name itself suggests that these are scenes that may seem ordinary at first glance, but their visual simplicity hides deeper layers of restlessness and adaptation. The well -known house plant - monster - commonly seen in corporate openpaces, corridors of prefabricated houses, offices or waiting rooms today is neutral, but previously it was a strange and slightly frightening "monster". However, Artamon's monster is metaphorically ripping out of its decorative framework by revealing its meanings of silent ubiquity and returning the ability to symbolize the latent tension that remains hidden under a layer of normality. In addition to the illusion of the reality, his paintings are more precisely modulated - they grasp the complexity of reality in its specific and silent threats, and witness the transformations of perception, indicators of our adaptable reactions to worrying, which has long existed next to us without being fully aware of it. Artamonov Metaphorically Plucks the Monster from Its Decorative Framework, Revealing the Meanings Behind Its Silent Ubiquity and Restoring Its Ability With Data Flows, Surveillance Policies, Or Technological Infrastructure, WHICH HAVE BEEN and Recent Focus of His Work. Artamonov’s paintings are thus --in addition to an illusory imitation of reality - and Precisely Modulated Expression of it.
