ABOUT PERFORMERS:
Vajnor beautification association
This folklore group is a continuation of the folk traditions of Vajnor, a village in the city. Their goal is to preserve and develop the cultural heritage of Vajnor, which is known for its original dialect, folk song and folklore traditions. The association organizes events such as carnivals, harvest festivals, vintage and a traditional Norwegian wedding. In their songbook and courses, they revive Vajnor folk song and crafts.
Pobobenka z Vajnor
A civic association that focuses on the preservation and development of authentic Vajnor folklore. They founded a children's folklore group and regularly organize events such as the traditional Palm Sunday, the School of Vajnorských traditions and the Vajnorský širáček. Their goal is to pass on traditions to children and youth, so that the customs of our ancestors do not fall into oblivion.
Vajnorská dychovka
Its activities continue the rich, 150-year history of wind music in Vajnory. He currently works under the leadership of Petr Pokrivčák and regularly plays at domestic cultural events such as Vajnorské hody, Cultural summer or traditional carnival entertainment. Michal Vlček, under the auspices of Ján Hrčka, mayor of the Bratislava-Petržalka district, in cooperation with Vladimír Bajan, MČ Bratislava - Vajnory and ProFolklorika n.f. The event was supported by the SPP Foundation.
