Tereza Pavlíková: Odonata

On the way to the forest I collect small beetles from the ground, have broken bodies, do not move. I examine beauty in this strange, fragile, immobilized state. Something suddenly moves in me, the border between me and the insects bursts, I find myself in a hybrid body, somewhere at the point. There is a transformation in response to helplessness, creating space for a new form of life. Dead will never die! How does movement reveal the process of self -knowledge? Bachelor thesis focuses on the body as an identity bearer in a dance performance, examining how the inner world of the dancer can be visible through physicalness, gestures and movement. It follows the contrasts between what is visible and what remains hidden, looking for ways in which these contradictions reflect personal experience, emotional memory and the identity of the performance. The body is understood as a statement - as a tool that speaks without words, but with full depth of survival. In? When does our presence give the impression that we really believe? What signals do we broadcast on our bodies? Ordinary day and everyday actions through the dance body become more vivid and stimulate our imagination. Jule asks, "Are you there?" And AI replies her, assures her she is still present. In this disturbing atmosphere, the question of who is actually deciding becomes unclear when reality is merging with chaos.
