Popularization of science among children is important because it helps to develop their logical reasoning, creativity and the ability to solve problems - what the skills needed in the modern world. ☝ CHEMIA, often considered a challenging object, can be transformed into a fascinating discovery of the world around us through simple and entertaining attempts. ⚗️ This approach motivates children to perceive science as a practical and useful part of their everyday life, which can also be fun and available. Your lessons about attractive and simple scientific experiments. 🧪
During the workshop:
👉 We will try effective and visual engaging experiments that can be carried out at minimum costs and with commonly available aids
👉 We will focus on general chemistry (oxygen production) and biochemistry (Distribution of plant dyes or DNA insulation from cells) 🦠
These practical activities support critical thinking, curiosity and active involvement of pupils in the classroom. The workshop is practically oriented so that teachers can acquire specific methods and immediately implement them in their lessons of chemistry, biology, physics or science.👩🔬🔬
👨 Tomáš Bertók, PhD., DSc. , MBA, EUR Ing - studied PhD in the specialization of biotechnology at the Faculty of Chemical and Food Technology STU. In 2024 he was awarded the title of Dr. Sciences in the field of biochemistry at the Faculty of Science, Charles University. He is the founder and chief technologist of Glycanostics SRo. He currently works at the Chemical Institute of the Slovak Academy of Sciences. He has won several significant awards (eg the Science and Technology Prize - award for a young scientist under 35 and for the best scientific team of the year, the SAS Award for Best Team, Forbes Slovakia 30 under 30 - Main Personality for Science, Scientist of the Year - Young Personality science and others). He is also involved in the popularization of science - he makes lectures for elementary school pupils, secondary schools (eg scientific confectionery CVTI, evening of curious). He is the author of many scientific works and citations.
The event is intended for teachers of elementary school with science focus, primarily from the districts of Zvolen, Detva and Krupina. However, other candidates are also welcome. Forms.Gle/madnsyw7aqstyjsa
