Pascal Finkenauer
Doors 7:00 p.m.
Starts 7:30 p.m.
Ends 10:00 p.m.
"Simply irresistible." GALA
"Heroin rock and bossa nova." SPON
"The mega banger!" OLLI SCHULZ
"In the spirit of the underdog." PENTHOUSE
“Comparisons to Lennon, Bowie, Mitchell, Knopfler, Cohen and Barrett... and they are serious.” TIP BERLIN
“Brilliant songs that you immediately want to call classics... Live an ensemble of incredible musical performances - they hold the key to presence.” BERLINER ZEITUNG
“This is a very good band.” ROBERT WYATT
After five regular, partly out-of-print albums and a recently released Brazilian EP, Veranda Music are releasing their first best-of album with “Lovers”.
The ten selected songs sound either like “Tindersticks auf E” or “Heroinrock und Bossa Nova” (Christian Buß in SPIEGEL about the fourth album “Secret Scenes”). "It's amazing what bright melodies Veranda Music comes up with - and what obscure, chain-rattling rhythms they sometimes dress them in. Songs like 'Soul Bends' or 'Overwhelming' immediately stick in your ear, every single line of the song gets stuck in your brain. Melodies and sentences that other musicians would peddle are produced at Veranda Music as if in passing. Great rock music moments, from the pumping bass to lascivious guitar licks to... sometimes cheerfully strolling West Coast piano And yet every song follows its own unique dynamic, jazz is not far away from Veranda Music.
