Czech Television and Czech Radio have completed a warning strike. People who are normally behind daily broadcasts, news, interviews, reports or live broadcasts went on strike. The future of CT and CRo as we know them is at stake. If the media is transferred to the state budget, we will lose not only popular programs, but also their independence.
What has to happen for public service media employees to say: we have to stop now? What does a strike look like from within institutions that, even in a crisis, must continue to perform public service? What was the atmosphere like in the newsrooms? And what are people from ČT and CRo most afraid of now?
At F-Talk at the Scout Institute, this time we will not talk about public media from the outside, but from the inside. About the backstage of the strike, the pressure on employees, the future of ČT and ČRo and what can change if their funding goes under the state budget.
