About event
A Hungarian writer and the Paris of the twenties in Moabit
1936 won the Hungarian-Jewish writer Jolán Földes a highly doped international novel competition and thus made "the street of the fishing cat" in Paris and its inhabitants: Inside in many countries, because the prize was also associated with translations in 12 languages. Eleanor Roosevelt was also one of the admirers of the novel, who shows a rather unknown Paris of the twenties: that of the emigrants:
publisher Britta Jürgs introduces the novel and the author and reveals why she is enthusiastic about the literature of the 1920s. In a glass of wine between paper stacks, she gives insights into the interior of a small independent publisher, tells of over 25 years of book making and her commitment to independent embarrassment and looks forward to talking to you.
Entry is free. The publishing rooms are on the 1st floor and can only be reached via two stairs.
