VERNISÁŽ Barbora Svobodová & Anna Šťastná: 𝒕𝒆𝒑𝒍𝒐

As part of the December exhibition, the gallery showcase inside the subway is transformed into a space that practically serves people who find themselves in difficult living conditions. A long-term stay outside in the winter months is often impossible without a certain source of heat, and homeless people thus use, for example, the air-conditioning outlets of buildings or heating in public transport, which is a method of heating that poses serious health risks, most often burns. Within one month, the NIKA gallery will thus become a real example of one of the possible ways to provide freely available and safe heat in public space.

At the opening, there will be a collection of warm clothes for the St. Terezia of the Archdiocesan Charity in Prague, so if you want, we will be happy for any piece of clothing or some blankets or sleeping bags. Thank you!❤️‍🩹

As part of the exhibition, a gallery showcase located inside a metro station will be transformed into a space practically serving homeless individuals and those living in other precarious conditions. Long-term outdoor stays during the winter months are often impossible without some source of heat, and homeless people often resort to using building ventilation outlets or heating systems in public transport. However, these methods of staying warm pose significant health risks, most commonly burns. Over the course of one month, the NIKA gallery will serve as a tangible example of possible ways to provide freely accessible and safe warmth in public spaces.

At the opening, a collection of warm clothing will be held to support the St. Teresa Shelter of the Archdiocesan Charity in Prague. Thanks for bringing anything!❤️‍🩹
