About event
Jiří Černický (1966) and Filip Dvořák (1990) are intermediate artists whose affinity is far beyond the relationship of a former student and teacher. They both enjoy the narrator, whose stories are full of mysterious hints, unexpected clashes and deliberate non -steps, which develop not only in the area of the image, but also in various object or installation creations. Fiction constantly encounters fragments of reality in their works and opens up a space for telling imaginative stories with an unclear end in which the present naturally intertwines with the past.
The principle of layering, duplication and intertwining of meanings became decisive for their joint exhibition, which the authors conceived as an installation in which individual works themselves become partial features and symbols that are further manipulated in the installation. The story develops and mutates, the fragments of the message overlap new. In the installation we can move in all directions and explore the various alternative paths of the story, as if we climbed the branches of the tree from Dvořák's story Strž. The artists pass on the story as narrators before the invention of the font. It is not essential which artist is the author of the work, but the common search for new associations, small stories and references to links that can help us step out of the established paradigm. In the words of the authors, it is not so much about who is who is, but "whether he has a double adequate man".
