Šimon Jan continues his process work that explores time and different rhythms in the Elusive Cargo exhibition. In this exhibition, time emerges as a commodity that we can still materialize, even if we cannot grasp its essence. Time climbs out of shipping crates, hides in pictures, wanders and maybe even sells itself. Through the repetitiveness and repetition of symbols, Jan reaches the border where we perceive timelessness, where the past and the future disappear and we find ourselves in a moment that cannot be grasped. What happens when we materialize abstract concepts? Is time really a commodity these days? And where is the timeless?
