We cordially invite you to the opening of the Viscera Domus exhibition, which will take place on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 from 6 pm in the Jaroslav King Gallery in the House of Arts. The exhibition will be presented by curator Rostislav Koryčánek, as a musical guest will perform Tom Holič. In the Jaroslav Král Gallery we enter the experimentally designed architectural labyrinth of Michal Palaščak, built from the basic, already used building materials. The installation provides a framework for Helena Lukášová's paintings, projected on a holographic canvas and stretched into light boxes. Its works evoke the biological structure - painting exposed tissue caused by computer manipulation. The authors are to lead viewers through the corridor with views and vistas that offer the maximum experience of the architectural solution of the experimental installation of introduced works, and to show the house not as a utilitarian thing, but an organism living in symbiosis with man. Corbusiera, who said "house is a housing machine". To some extent, this statement is a summary of a modernist view of architecture that emphasizes the functionality and efficiency of housing. According to him, the house should serve its inhabitants as efficiently and controlled as a machine. At the same time, the onset of effectiveness, clarity, optimality and economics has rejected the traditional concept of the house. For poetry, drama, romance or secrets in architecture, there was no room left. A very rational approach in thinking about architecture has deprived her of a dimension that allows the coexistence of buildings with man. Their depiction resembles skeletal system drawings with muscle mass or organs. The induced guts and interior processes of the house resemble an entity that encourages exploring, learning and understanding.
