We invite you to the opening of the exhibition The seeds of the Austrian artist Ines Doujak, who will take place on Friday 7th March at 6 pm in Distillery in Brno. 🌱
The key work is the collection of nearly 400 types of seeds, which the author connects with prominent women of history and reflects the topics of colonialism, patriarchy and unequal access to resources.
An important part of the exhibition will also be the encyclopedia of these women (newly translated into Czech) and a three -meter statue of Walking Cemeter.

INES Doujak
Ines Doujak (*1959, Klagenfurt) is an Austrian multidisciplinary artist who connects photography, film, performance and installation in her work. Her work has long been involved in power structures, colonialism and stereotypes associated with gender and race. Her works were exhibited in institutions like Museo Reina Sofía in Madrid, Macba in Barcelona or Kunsthalle Wien, and appeared at significant shows, including Document 12 or Biennial in São Paul and Liverpool. Unevenness. There are several higher stairs to the building, which can be overcome by stairs, or we are ready to assist with the transmission of the trolley.
barrier -free sanitary facilities can be used in the building of the University Hospital at St. Anna, who is located opposite the distilleries across the road. The entrance to the hospital area from Pekařská Street is made possible via the lifting platform with the button to summon the operator.
🧣 Distillery space is not heated, we recommend that you dress warmly. The benches in the backyard are used for sitting.

The exhibition takes place with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic and the City of Prague.
