The exhibition "My Žilina" reveals the lesser-known works of academic architect Eduard Šutek (July 25, 1946 - August 14, 2022), a native of Žilina, and reflects his strong relationship with his hometown.
This is expressed through drawings, sketches and paintings from his youth while studying at the People's School of Art,
Secondary Industrial School of Construction in Žilina and university studies at SVŠT and VŠVU in Bratislava,
as well as commemorative drawings of his hometown, his native street and his house in the last years of his life.
The exhibition also includes a selection from a rich architectural work: selected realizations, competition projects, architectural models, furniture, etc.
In one room, his studio is presented with a work table and things that surrounded him during his creative work.
The theme of the exhibition was created during Eduard's lifetime. Šuteka, who had the idea to show the beauty and diversity of the city and the landscape not only to the people of Žilina through his works.
The exhibition is held on the occasion of the author's 80th birthday.
