We cordially invite you to the opening of the exhibitions Uncertain Homes and Greeting Igor Zhoř. It will take place on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 from 6 pm in the House of Arts on Malinovské Square. We will publish the details of the program soon.

9. 4–10. 8. French philosopher Gaston Bachelard sees these spaces as happy places that evoke a sense of security and confidentiality. Home is not only physical space, but also a sense of belonging. The exhibition of uncertain homes examines the transformations of the perception of the home and builds on Womanhouse (1972), which opened the theme of the home and the role of a woman. It focuses on the relationship of man to space, ownership, loss, exclusion and survival, reflects the question of the future habitation of the world.

The exhibition for the 100th anniversary of Igor Zhora's birth will bring his importance as a teacher, theorist and organizer of the Brno art scene. Interactive installations will connect archival materials, works of art and contemporary intervention. You will see unique documents, Zhoř's collection and the work of artists in the Brno circuit. The program will include performative events and works reflecting his pedagogical ideas.
