Bacskai is one of the most important artists not only in the Novohrad region but also in the wider area. We prepared the exhibition on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the birth of the artist and the 45th anniversary of the death. Béla was born on July 261935 in the rain. He worked as a young man in Fiľakov Kovosmalte, where he was trained for a metal -model and metalworker, but his artistic talent was already reflected. Therefore, he began attending the studio of Július Szabó, who prepared him for admission to the Academy of Fine Arts and Design. The school finished in 1961 at the Monumental Painting Department of Professor Matejka. After the end, unlike their yearly colleagues who preferred to stay in the capital, he returned to his native country, Novohrad and Gemer. His painting not only depicted motifs, drawn from the country, but gradually lifted the spirit and round shapes of the country to the artistic unique level. He devoted himself to oil painting, drawing, graphics, but the highest level is the unique watercolors in his work. On the occasion of the double anniversary of the artist, we continue the traditionally good cooperation between the Memorial House of Július Szabó and the Novohradské Museum and the Gallery. Currently, we are not only associated with a common interest in Bacskai's work. Due to the ongoing reconstruction of the museum's settlement building, Béla Bacskai's exhibition will be exhibited in the premises of the Memorial House of Július Szabó. With regard to the spatial possibilities of the exhibition hall in the memorial house, we decided to introduce a collection of drawings and sketches from the latest acquisitions at the commemorative exhibition. Or at another time based on the telephone convention at 0911 494 485
