Petr Hajdyla - the beautiful fragrance of the burning ego
and its opening, which will take place on Thursday, March 6, 2025 from 18:00 in The Chemistry Gallery 306; The burning ego
The burning of the ego smells surprisingly pleasant. At least that is the painter Petr Hajdyla, when in his latest work he captures the special moment of life between youth and maturity. His canvases are a testimony of the time when the race ends and the way to authentic being begins, when the ambition turns into acceptance and the desire for evidence retreats to the simple experience of the presence.
ego. The naked male figure exhibits its most vulnerable place for flames in the gesture of absolute surrender. A series of paintings with the motifs of racing railways and tired competitors poetically illustrates the author's sobering from the idea of life as an endless competition. Daniel Balabán at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Ostrava. In his work, he focuses on painting, which often works with the motifs of balance and balancing opposites such as heat and cold, eternity and transience, symbolized by marble or bitten apples.
