Vernisáž: Photopia

We invite you to the opening of the Photopia exhibition by Ema Lančaričová under the curatorial leadership of Patrik Krajčovič.

📅Ky? Thursday 24. Ján Koniark Gallery, Koppelova Villa, Green Breed 3, Trnava

Photopia is an exhibition of photography as space between visible and invisible, existence and loss, between place and its demise. In the works of Ema Lančaričová, photography becomes not only a document, but also a philosophical medium-the bearer of memories, tracks and layers that combine time, memory and idealization. Visual ambivalence - as a recording and disappearance, image and memory, presence and gradual loss. The author works with materials that underline the topic of temporary and gradual dematerialization with their physicality and fragility. The exhibition thematizes the layering of reality and its fragmentation. Abandoned architectural motifs, repetition of visual elements or technical specifics of the material used become bearers of meaning that does not chew in clearness, but in the openness of the interpretation. You!
