About event
The art for the city in cooperation with the Holešovice market chose the winners of the open challenges for a new work in the market area, which became a large sculpture of the market and slaughterhouse by Adam Trbuška, the main technologist AVU and Artu Magrot from the 3D Center AVU.
The work will be solemnly unveiled at the opening of 11 September from 18:00 in the Holešovice marketplace and is planned for a year. At the work of the Commission, it mainly appreciated the conceptual interconnection with the specific genius loci of the market and local sculptural works, as well as the memorable monumentality and some visual and thematic ferocity of this proposal.
The sculpture of the market and the slaughterhouse has thus replaced the interactive wooden installation of Karlínský raft by Adam Kovalčík, which moved to the Baden Baden swimming pool.
The opening will take place on 11 September with the participation of the authors and representatives of the Holešovice market and the Gallery of the City of Prague.
