About event
We invite you to the opening of the exhibition

The exhibition Něnje pohlávie takes place in the space of the community garden on rubble in an environment where human care is intertwined with natural growth, where the touch of the hand becomes a continuation of the soil. In the middle of the greenery, ceramic, textile and bioplastic objects appear that respond to the themes of femininity, nature and the human footprint in the landscape.
Ceramic vulvas planted directly in the flower beds turn into silent symbols of oppressed, but still present power. Both their vulnerability and resilience refer to the female body as a place of memory, experience and transformation. A black ceramic cat appears near them, a reflection of the living one that wanders through the garden as a guide, a ghost and a connection between the world of nature and man.
Textile trees grow from the ground as memories of disappearing forests, reacting to illegal felling and the disturbed relationship of man to the living environment. Bioplastic objects, in turn, bear traces of human activity, residues, layers and fragments that remind us of waste and the fragility of ecosystems.
The exhibition does not offer a clear reading. It is scattered, hidden, woven into the environment of the garden in such a way that the viewer has to look for it in the shade of leaves and in the flower bed. The gentle sex is an invitation to slow down, quietly observe and return to the natural rhythm of the world, in which one learns to be a part of it again.
You will be able to see the exhibition from 24.10.2025 to 24.11.2025 every Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., or by appointment (if interested, contact us by email: [email protected])

Mgr. art Almášiová Tamara (1999) and Mgr. art Mária Maxová (1998)
Both authors studied at the Faculty of Arts in Košice. Tamara completed her bachelor's studies in the sculpture studio under the guidance of Mgr. art. Radovan Čerevka, ArtD., and in her master's studies she transferred to the painting studio of doc. Mgr. art. Ota Hudeca, ArtD., where Mária also studied.
In their work, both connect common themes – the relationship to nature, feminism and the perception of the world through personal mythologies. They use diverse techniques, especially painting, textile installations, bioplastics and ceramics.
Organic forms, body fragments and plant motifs appear in their visual language. They work with layering of materials and an intuitive process that reflects a personal rhythm and relationship to the natural world. The works are created independently, but when interconnected, they enter into a dialogue, complement each other and together develop their story - or even existence itself.
