About event
We cordially invite you to the opening of a new exhibition in Satellite III.
JAKUB MLYNARČÍK: Freedoms
Curator: Kristína Hermanová
Venue: Považská art gallery in Žilina, exhibition space on the ground floor
Opening of the exhibition: Thursday, November 27 at 5:00 p.m.
Duration of the exhibition: 28/11/2025 – 28.3.2026
In the paintings of Jakub Mlynarčík, we recognize fragments of the human body - muscles, torsos, gestures, organic and dynamic forms, but without a clear anatomical anchoring. Bodies dissolve and merge, losing boundaries, as if caught in constant motion. But Mlynarčík does not primarily deal with the body as such. He uses it as a tool of knowledge, as a bridge to understanding. In his work, the body becomes a universal medium - something that belongs to each of us, that we intuitively know and that is physically closest to us.
