Lucia Čarnecká has long devoted himself to statue as a medium, its new forms and overlaps from material form to virtual. He deprives his work of physical material and makes it in some way incomprehensible. The sculpture medium adapts to the contemporary world, innovating its essence, but the “classic” modeling and figurativeness is still present in her works. It has not only physical symbolism in art history, but also represents a metaphor of identity, reasoning and the human mind itself. In its most up -to -date work, he focuses on a phenomenon called Velata. The shroud of human (female) face and head has been a motive known in the visual arts since antiquity. In the history of art has played an important role and in some cultures it is associated with various symbolic interpretations. On the basis of this, the author plays with the relationship of the concepts of shrouding and revealing or visible and invisible and also reflects the role of women in society. The veil becomes a bearer of meaning, it represents layering. Wraping as such can have many reasons and layers, it is associated with chasteness, coverage of ugliness, imperfections, but can also be a symbol of hiding, but also protection, protection of injuries or scars. It can also be a sign of certain revelations…

The possible gestures veiled under the drapery is revealed and forms in the dominant work of the exhibition where he itself becomes a “figure of Velata” in digital performance. It gives new importance to an anonymous woman partially readable, standardized, one of many you are similar. It specifies, humanizes and reveals her identity, gives her face and comes to life. This site-specific installation has up to an altar character, the impression celebrating the individuality of a woman under the drapery, which is also multiplied in the context of the Jewish Synagogue. It was created on the principle of creation of the author's production, where the gesture is the dominant bearer of the idea.
