About event
We invite you to the opening of an exhibition of paintings by the artist Tomáš Matuch in the new premises of the gallery in the ÚHA passage.
The public mostly knows him as a street-art artist under the name MATUCH.
He studied design and his work is a kind of combination of street-art style with modern design and figurative painting, often enriched with abstract ideas or elements.
His canvases are exceptional in that you can find hidden miniature paintings in them, which are not visible to the eye at first glance.
Also, most of his paintings on canvas have built-in magnetic areas of the image, where collectors of the artist's paintings can attach these unique magnets that he produces and are also a collector's item for fans.
These magnets are gaining great popularity and are presented as interactive street art consisting in the fact that each one is uniquely hand-painted, then hidden or placed somewhere in the streets, where anyone can come for it and thus have a piece of his art.

His work continues to be primarily based on figurative painting, in which he constantly experiments with various techniques and media, but at the same time builds the identity of a unique style.
