They also architects. The exhibition 3prof_koula_karfík_piffl represents the life and work of three of them, Alfred Piffl (1907–1972), Vladimír Karfík (1901-1996) and Jana E. Koula (1896–1975) who belonged not only to the Czechoslovak architectural elite. The founders of architectural education at the first Slovak technology - today's 🎓 of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava. The enthusiastic and tireless monument Alfred Piffl remained permanently here, who was exceptional in the history of Slovakia not only as a rescuer of the crumbling ruins of the Bratislava Castle, cultivated humanist Jan E. Koula, 🏗️ Co -founder of the famous avant -garde magazine construction and researcher of the Slovak folk architecture. Vladimír Karfík, who came to Bratislava after visiting the famous Le Corbusier and Adolf Loos and working with the no less famous F. L. Wright in the US. The three professors left behind a number of projects and buildings, articles and books, but also extensive pedagogical and organizational work, part of which took place in the early 1950s, in a time not very favorable to creative individualities. case, even after an unfair prison - to create permanent cultural values.
