🥂 We cordially invite you to the opening of the intergenerational group exhibition Sediments of the World, which will take place on April 16, 2025 at 18:00 in the Pálffy Palace. 🥂


🔸 Why do artists/é artists/kyne at the time of overproduction (things, information and cultural content) collect and store different objects at all? What types of objects attract them? Where do they find their material? What is the meaning of him? What stories do they tell through their collections? How do they live with them? How do they work with them? How is the collection translates into their work, but also in their thinking about our existence and transience? They mean collector fascinations by various objects (snowballs, lego, old family clothes, lost keys, historical photos, books, magazines, old prints, dead insects, old furniture, etc.) Escape from reality or, on the contrary, highlight reality, characterize and collect and occasionally create space for its new understanding and new understanding and new Interpretations? In the curatorial selection of Nade Kančevová, the exhibition presents us almost thirty representatives/king of our art scene, who also form through collections, collecting or accumulation, in a different sense of the word. Each of the personalities represented at the exhibition reveals to us their fascinations, obsessions and inspirations found by the remains of the material and natural world - "sediments" revived in new and often surprising contexts.
