VERNISÁŽ VÝSTAVY → VÝTVARNÁ SKUPINA KOZA NOSTRA

After more than 30 years, the legendary female art group Nostra returns. The group, which was founded in the 90s, became a symbol of a strong female voice in Czech art, when it decided to face traditional standards and create their own artistic environment at a time when female groups were not of space. To date, their work, which combines humor, exaggeration and novel views of the world, has not lost its distinctiveness. You can look forward to the cross -section of the painting of Magdalena, the large -format Alexandra Smalls on the rusty sheet and the Olina Iron Sculptures, which complements the “Figurllage” cycle - the author combining the embossed collage with mobile elements. Social prejudices, which in some periods brought her both admiration and misunderstanding. With the 1994 mammograph project, which supported the collection for the purchase of diagnostic devices for women, we managed to raise not only awareness of the importance of breast cancer prevention, but also cause a strong reaction between the art community that its "provocations" did not always have to accept. However, this combination of joke, self -irony and serious social themes gives the creation of a goat nostra unmistakable character. This exhibition, reminiscent of the unique story of the first female art group, is a tribute to a strong, independent artist who not only formed Czech fine art, but also left a permanent legacy in the wider social context.

We cordially invite you to this exceptional return to the past, which is also a celebration of courage, humor and friendship.
