About event
Ivan Mládek - Všelovany Epic
Gallery 1, 30 April - 30th May 2025
curator: Renáta Mužíková
"I did not want to be similar to anyone, so I invented my own style." His paintings are a distinctive world where irony, grotesque and distinctive art language are mixed. Antiperspective, shifting, action minimalism - all of these are concepts that exaggerate their "art inventions" that give rise to a typical Mládkov manuscript. Mládek once said that he could create an episode of the VŠESVANSKÁ, if they were not afraid of Moravský Krumlov and allow him to "replace the Mucha". The director of the Gallery has accepted the challenge - and a series of twenty -one paintings was born. Ivan Mladek paints, as he says, "for himself and for fun". And it is obvious at the result - the viewer is having fun with him.
