The late nineties - a time when dial-up Internet was a luxury, music circulated on home-made cassette mixes, and phone numbers were so few that people remembered them by heart. ☎️
It was at that time that the group Bezhlavý jezdec was formed, it became a symptom of a time of euphoria and uncertainty and the result of a unique meeting of four AVU students. Josef Bolf, Ján Mančuška, Jan Šerých and Tomáš Vaněk entered the art scene, which was much more intimate compared to today's. They were united by a deep interest in neo-avant-garde art, classic literature, science fiction and D.I.Y., which at the time contrasted with the one-dimensional language of advertising, mainstream pop culture and the imagery of free-market spectacle.
