When we hear the word gulag, we think of Siberia and the forced labor camps of the Soviet Union. of the European GULAG, which absorbed more than 1.5 million people after the Second World War.
The exhibition European GULAG reveals that repression, labor camps and political persecution were not only a Soviet phenomenon, but a tragic part of the history of the entire Central and Eastern Europe.
🕯️ The opening of the exhibition will take place on November 4, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. in the Atrium of the Faculty of Arts, UK (Gondova 2, Bratislava).
Panel exhibition produced by the Platform of European Memory and Conscience and the Museum of Memory XX. century is presented in the Slovak premiere and translation by the Institute of National Memory.

The exhibition presents 30 panels with archival photographs, documents and archival photographs and documents about forced labor and personal stories of victims of communism. Its aim is to remind that the totalitarian regimes after the Second World War left traces not only in the Soviet Union, but also across Europe.
