Duration of the exhibition: 25.1. - 22.2. 2025
The name of the exhibition and the new platform for comics iConic contains concise terms that perfectly describe the art -literary genre itself, Illustation - Comic - Object - New - Intermedial - Creation. It is therefore a start of a new and especially extremely potential project in Banská Bystrica, which tends to repeat at at least one -year intervals and present in particular the current comic book and its activities. The project is primarily aim to address the public, to educate and expand awareness of the area of illustration, comics, concept-art, or free figurative expression in sculpture through exhibition activities. This is a platform that has the ambition to present projects from sketches through elaboration to the final demonstration, whether 2D or 3D realizations. The presentation of comic book work in recent years has been experiencing a renaissance and thus its popularity is increasingly increasing. It is very interesting to see how this genre and the style of artistic expression/art addresses all ages. Their works within authentic, artistic, not only formal strategies respond to current events or experiment with the means of expression on individual topics. Individual authors work in various media, whether classic analogue painting, drawing, statue/object or digital. The iConic collective exhibition offers viewers only a fraction of the current four/Robert Nielsen, Martin Schwarz, Lukáš Freytag, Gabriel Kiss/Selected Artists, who will create a new separate visual story in the Gallery. > The Gallery Exhibition Program in 2024 was supported by the Public Sources Fund.
