allow us to invite you to the exhibition and the opening of the exhibition "Joie de Vivre: Tomáš Jetela, Tomáš Němec, Václav Misař"
which will take place on Friday 17/07/2026 from 18:00 to 22:00 at The Chemistry Gallery, Hall 40, Holešovická tržnice, Bubenské nábřeží 306, Prague 7.
Joie de Vivre is a French expression that literally translates to "joy of life". It denotes contagious enthusiasm, zest for life, optimism and the ability to deeply enjoy the present moment and the everyday little things. The Joie de Vivre exhibition presents the current
work of Tomáš Jetela, Tomáš Němek and Václav Misa - three painters who were at the very beginning of The Chemistry Gallery. It was with them that the gallery formed its identity in 2008 and 2009, searched for its own language and discovered authors whose work has stood the
test of time. Today, after more than fifteen years, they return to the common exhibition space, each with a significantly matured handwriting and at the same time a completely different story that shaped their journey. A journey on which the joy of painting as such was a significant life anchor for all three.

Joie de Vivre is a French expression that literally translates to “joy of life.” It refers to contagious enthusiasm, zest for life, optimism, and the ability to deeply enjoy the present moment and the little things in everyday life. The Joie de Vivre exhibition presents the current work of Tomáš Jetela, Tomáš Němec, and Václav Misař—three painters who were there at the very beginnings of The Chemistry Gallery. It was with them that the gallery shaped its identity in 2008 and 2009, sought its own voice, and discovered artists whose work has stood the test of time. Today, after more than fifteen years, they return to a shared exhibition space, each with a distinctly mature style and, at the same time, a completely different story that has shaped their journey—a journey in which, for all three, the joy of painting itself has been a defining anchor in their lives.
