We cordially invite you to the exhibition of painter Kateřina Ondrušková entitled Fialová smells the most, which represents a distinctive visual poetry inspired by everyday life, motherhood and identity changes. The opening will take place on Thursday, July 24, 2025 from 19:00, the guided tour will take place on Wednesday, August 14 at 6 pm and the exhibition will last until 3 September 2025.

The flood of colors, symbols and characters acts as mimicry that overlaps something sophisticated. They are layers in which the creative process of poetization of reality occurs. Attributes of mundanes go through transformation. They are removed by the author from the field of reflexive, naturalistic descriptions and elevated into the timeless sphere of symbolic communication. We find ourselves in the middle of metavying, which generalizes the three main circuits of themes themes through painting means of parenthood, motherhood and associated interpersonal relations. How does he see the child? How mother? What exactly is changing in a person? Who does who have the role? The everyday reality seems to be divided alongside the everyday worries into the polarities of the ritual and dream. Just as the mother splits and hand over a part of himself to the foundation of the newly born being, at the next stage of her motherhood, he sees the world around him with "other eyes". A "garden" of a common imagination, which multiplies both references to their own childhood, to the landscape in which one grew up, to the memories and memory of the author, as well as references to signs that explicate the child's presence in the yet unrecognized, and magical space based on so much more dream and the principle of pleasure. Ondrušková opens the windows for paradise, which can be remembered, unintegrated. It presents paradise in which "purple smells the most" and where every flower and every animal promise an open and sun -lit future, the certainty that everything is inevitably repeated because it is "good".

SHE EVOKES PARADISES WHERE “Violet Has the Strongest Scent” and Every Flower and Every Animal Represents The Promise of An Open and Sun-Drenched Future, and Certainty That Everything Will Intevitably Repeat Itself Because “It Is Good”. The Image Functions Here As A Repetitive Narrative in WHICH Particular Characters are Gradually Transformed into General Symbols and Concrete Experiences into and Movement of Initiation. We are Introduced Into and Time Whose Fall (Haste) Has Slowed Down. And the timelessness with fairytale features emerges.
