About event
We invite you to the opening of the exhibition entitled When Blue Burns, the author of which will be Andrea Naďa Tomčíková.
We are looking forward to seeing you on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at 6:30 PM in the VD Laboratory of Contemporary Art gallery at Horná 36 in B.Bystrica.
When Blue Burns is an exhibition about moments in which human fragility meets hope. Deprived of a specific story, the figures move between the physical and spiritual worlds and create space for the viewer's own interpretation.
*Andrea Naďa Tomčíková (2003) is a Slovak painter and a master's student at the Painting Studio I at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Ostrava. In his work, he devotes himself to figurative painting, through which he explores the inner experience of man and his relationship to himself, to others and to God. In his dimensional paintings, he works with a relaxed gestural handwriting, while the painting itself becomes a carrier of movement, tension and meaning.
The exhibition will last until September 4, 2026.
