✍🏻 Exhibition of zines and photographs. The series I am learning a language I will never speak, subtitled On the performativity of gender, explores identity as a process of constant learning, practice and failure. It is based on the ideas of Gender Trouble by Judith Butler, according to which gender is not a stable essence, but a repeatedly shaped performance. A series of gestures, stylizations and expectations that can never be fully fulfilled.
The opening will include an author's reading by Sonia Pokorná.
