Marda - Marek Menšík
I was born 21. 3. 1976 in Nové Město na Moravě. In 1991–1995 I studied the School of Arts in Brno, industrial design (Petra Light studio). I continued at the Faculty of Applied Arts and Design in Ústí nad Labem (1996–2000), graphic design (Karel Míšek's studio). In 1999/2000 I graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, the studio of the poster at Lech Majewski. Since then I have been freelance. I have been actively in biker subculture since 1993, since 2006 I have been a member of Hells Angels. In 2009, I started tattooing and founded Marda Tattoo Co.
The Covid period in 2019 made me slow down and return to the painting - and I found great joy in it. The result is the first comprehensive series of paintings from the years 2020–2025, which you can see at the exhibition in my place from 19.9. Until 21.11. 2025.
