About event
We cordially invite you to the exhibition of the painter Martin Froulík: Romance of the Boar.
The opening of the exhibition will take place on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 from 6:30 p.m. The exhibition will last until March 9, 2025 and will be freely accessible during the opening hours of Bistro & Bar Jatek78 (MON-FRI 10:00 a.m.–11:00 p.m., SAT-SUN – if there is a play, we open 90 minutes before the start of the performance).
Martin Froulík was born in Čeladná and spent his childhood in Frýdlant nad Ostravicí, in the picturesque Beskydy foothills. These localities are still a source of inspiration for him and a space for searching for new topics. He spent his study years in Ostrava, where he first attended a secondary art school under the guidance of Aleš Hudeček, Katarína Szanya and Leszek Wojáczk. He continued his studies at the University of Ostrava, in the studio of Jiří Surůvka, who together with other Ostrava personalities played a significant role in his artistic development. Ostrava became his permanent home and today Martin Froulík is one of the prominent personalities of the local art scene.
