About event

The gomokes
The technique that the gombles is created is to print with acrylic colors. However, these are monoprints, so every print is an original that cannot be copied and hard to imitate. Several layer imperfect printing brings a lot of detail to the painting that can not be achieved by brush. This uniqueness and transience are very crucial to me. I play with an organized accident, which I only affect until then to have control of the overall shape, but not the details. This is the uniqueness of individual paintings. Thanks to the use of metallic colors, the paintings have the impression of printing on the metal plate, even if it is low weight paper. This creates an interesting contrast that I enjoy examining. I point out how we sometimes focus our attention on tinsel that is not important and we miss what we should notice.

The sculptures are a whole series of ten prints, but each painting works separately. I use inspiration by calligraphic painting, which is printed in this case. The creation of the whole series was rather a coincidence. I wanted to try a new sampling technique and needed a simple character to use to make the technique stand out. At that time I painted the ink Circle Enso, and the character plus. I used both characters and only when I put both paintings side by side, the first idea was that they were wheels and crosses and the rest of the series did not wait long. Each monoprint is an original, and solves a different composition, color or shape. I combine various color brands with different properties in this series, creating a diverse palette. The ideal installation of this series is the classic 3x3 pieces and the tenth painting was created to make the gombles playable.

MgA. Veronika Kopečná
"On the one hand, I am a designer of the luminaires, where I work with glass, light, atmosphere of the environment, interior and three -dimensional object and on the other I explore the flat surface of the canvas in the form of free painting with various techniques. I am investigating where these two views intersect, where they affect and seek inspiration between individual concepts. ”

Veronika is a multidisciplinary artist. It deals with a wide range of techniques, from drawing with classic pencil, liners, painting acrylic, but also watercolor. With his paper collages he gets to three -dimensional painting. This spaciousness culminates in design, as it designs glass luminaires that are found around the world. He gets other elements into his work, namely the light and the atmosphere of space.

She devoted her studies to glass, both in high school and university. But the painting is her main interest. Occasionally there are various links of several disciplines, playing with paper, painting and light together.

Its great inspiration is traveling in both the Czech Republic and abroad. Stay in Hong Kong, where she designed luminaires and at the same time dealt with ink painting, combined with liners, had a major impact on her work. This created a series that started Asian inspiration. During an internship in Loughborough, England, it formed painted three -dimensional paper collages that were on the border of paintings and design. When the three -dimensional sculptures hung on the wall, combined with white space, a collage that did not leave the viewer in peace. And the classic free painting dedicated an internship in Frauenau, Germany.

In the last two years, she has also begun to engage in lecturer, when he leads several art courses in the Liberec studio of Tuba. In addition to several children's courses, it also leads the basics of drawing and painting and the path to abstraction, when they teach students how to reach through the theory of colors, compositions and color psychology, to abstraction.
Veronika is currently engaged in the technique of alcohol inks, monoprint, but also a series of travel drawing, when Liners capture fleeting moments from the travels.

Its luminaires received a world award and were at many prestigious trade fairs and its paintings are in private collections in the Czech Republic.
