About event
We invite you to the opening of the exhibition of works by Vlasta Lazová, which presents a varied palette of paintings and decorative works created in recent years. Their common denominator is a fascination with nature - its cycles, variability and details that can surprise and enchant 🌿 ☀️
The exhibited works of the author were created in 2024 as a natural reaction to visits to several art exhibitions, which awakened her curiosity and the need to verify her own abilities. Although she is self-taught and has not undergone any formal training or course, her work relies on professional literature and above all on her own experience and experimentation.
👉 Her approach is based on playing with colors, mixing shades and exploring what emotions and atmospheres images can evoke. She herself describes the process as incredibly relaxing – the result is dreamy landscapes and natural scenery that bring a feeling of peace, balance and harmony. The author works with acrylic paste, which allows her to create distinctive structures and discover new possibilities for incorporating different materials and effects into the image. Her work thus acquires a unique dimension of discovery and experiment.
VLASTA LAZOVÁ (1945)
She studied automation technology at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Slovak Technical University and worked professionally at the Institute of Technical Cybernetics and at Hydroconsult. In addition to her technical profession, however, she fully developed her artistic and arranging talent. Already in the 1970s, she designed straw products for the Detva production cooperative and straw Easter eggs for ÚVA Prague. Her lifelong passion for flower arranging resulted in leading an Ikebana club, which she ran continuously for 23 years. She has been passing on her knowledge and creativity for a long time - she runs creative workshops for pensioners in the Old Town and for seniors in the club on Gaštanová street, where she works with natural products, paper, yarn and textiles. To this day, he is actively involved in community life and regularly brightens up club meetings with his decorations.
