This series of drawings is a tribute to love, the union of two beings, the equation of which is the source of life and the cyclically recurring generational struggle for the meaning of human being and existence. Because, as Merleau-Ponty says, "the body, that is, the thing in which I dwell, is a world composed of subject and object, and how they are interwoven and articulated is incomparable to anything else." Radostina Doganova (1975 Dobrich, Bulgaria) studied at the Secondary Art School in Plovdiv and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sofia (1994 – 1996). She later transferred to VŠVU in Bratislava, where she completed her master's (2001) and doctoral studies (2010) with prof. Ján Berger. She participated in a number of group exhibitions at home and abroad, completed residencies in Belgium, India, the Czech Republic, Romania, Bulgaria and France. She held solo exhibitions in Sofia, Varna, Vienna, Munich, Berlin, Ljubljana, Zagreb, Bratislava, Košice and others. Her works are part of prestigious private and public collections, for example the National Gallery in Sofia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria. From 2021, Radostina Doganova heads the contemporary art gallery Station Contemporary Art Gallery in Bratislava.
